Inspiration & Dedication

Inspiration
There are moments without words that only sensations can define, feelings that reach the heart and become the rapture, joy and beauty of a moment to be treasured deep inside. The art of wine is one such moment, a masterpiece created by the talent that few possess, in which dedication and ability blend in a magical, mystical marriage with nature.

Dedication
A word with such subtle power, intimate and so extreme. For the grape grower and winemaker dedication lies in caring little gestures that daily express a constant love for the vine and for wine. Dedication becomes total commitment throughout the seasons and the years where the art that is winemaking is concerned.

In Erbusco, Annamaria Clementi buys a little hillside house with two hectares of land. She passes her inspiration to her son Maurizio.

She passes away in 2014

A virtue found in the etymology of an ancient word: idem, or being the same. Cuvée Prestige, the essence of Franciacorta, Ca' del Bosco style. A jewel created in 2007 from thirty year's experience. Only the finest Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco grapes from the best vineyards, vinified separately and skillfully blended with reserves of the finest vintages (at least 20%) go into the magical rite of Cuvée creation. It will take almost 24 months of refinement on yeasts before this wine is ready to express all its richness and identity. A classic, well-balanced Franciacorta, pleasantly fresh and crisp. Perfect for any occasion.

THE METODO

THE METODO

It is nature’s decision. Nature shows the way to transform wine into art. But human hands and skill expedite the transformation. The Metodo Ca’ del Bosco is comparable to no other. It’s an individual, idealistic and perhaps even inspirational take on the Metodo Franciacorta.

“Tradition” does not mean standing still in sterile adoration of the past. It means combining innovation with naturalness and quality, aspiring to create a truly noble wine that exalts its variety and terroir.

TERRIOR

The term terroir evokes green landscapes, gentle hills, sunny slopes, geometric layout designed by lengthy rows, people devoted to a passion for the places and traditions of their land.A terroir is therefore a concrete, tangible place defined by many factors: geography, soil, water and microclimate. A real and life-filled concept that also has a cultural dimension tied closely to its community. Franciacorta, a morainic basin south of Lake Iseo, an excellent terroir. With, from its origins, a viticultural vocation that expresses itself in grapes and hence in wines with special organoleptic properties, inimitable and easily identified.

About the Brand

Ca de Bosco

We like to call it the “Metodo Ca’ del Bosco”. It encapsulates our idea of the Metodo Franciacorta. A personal, perhaps even romantic idea. It means embracing excellence in wine, the integrity of the territory and respect for tradition.

Art

“Wine is a real value that gives us the imagined”. Ca’ del Bosco goes on from Luigi Veronelli’s statement with a clear purpose: expressing a different idea of wine civilization, creating a special rapport between its structures, lands, people, wine and art

There are places that have a magical effect on those inhabiting them because they express the essence and value of a passion. One of these places is the Ca’ del Bosco winery. Because its fusion of art and wine, nature and culture, creates a magical effect: it touches people’s spirits and senses. This is why Maurizio Zanella wished to share these sensations, opening a space formerly reserved to lovers of art as well as wine. Visiting Ca’ del Bosco is an immersion in complete harmony and intense joy. The enchanting scenery blends with the intellectual provocation of contemporary art: surprising sculptures adorn the landscape with the colors of bronze, marble and steel. There is great similarity between creation of a sculpture brought to light and distilled in pure form and creating an excellent wine. It’s the material that calls to the artist: stone awaits whoever intuits the shape it contains and frees it. Land awaits whoever intuits its vocation and, with love, wisdom, clear sight and severe selection, transforms a promise into color, taste and aroma that light up the whole world’s eyes in pleasure. And so for anyone with a passion for excellent wines, for nature and for art, a visit to the Ca’ del Bosco winery is a must.

Cellar

Ca' del Bosco opens its cellars for tours designed to give wine enthusiasts first-hand knowledge of how Franciacorta is made and to guide them around the vineyards at the winery. A walk through the Ca' del Bosco barrique cellars, historic repositories of art and innovation, takes visitors to the Cupola.

Dedication

A word with such subtle power, intimate and so extreme. For the grape grower and winemaker dedication lies in caring little gestures that daily express a constant love for the vine and for wine. Dedication becomes total commitment throughout the seasons and the years where the art that is winemaking is concerned. Dedication is also faithfulness, not just to work but to the land as well, honoring Mother Nature to achieve a result that is savored all the more because it must be waited for each time. This translates into solicitude, care, generosity in giving of yourself to reach a goal: wine, that delightful fruit of one's devotion. You are never certain it will be as you expected, only sure that you have given it your all..

Effort

"Earth, fire and steel. This is wine in its elementary form: twisting vines, faces etched by time, moist earth, bonfire smoke, cold metal. It's frost and mist, joy and warmth, technique and pure grit. Wine is made from more than love. You train the shoots, burn pruned runners, fill the vats, rotate the bottles. It's endless work if you aim for quality. It's teamwork and solitary concentration, the nearness of your companions in the vineyard and the lone task of riddling, striving for perfect perlage. The sky may be dark and baroque, the cellar lighting remind you of The Night Watch. The chores are never-ending, the seasons pitiless or generous, but in the end you have your wine"
