Antiquary 12 year old Blended Scotch Whisky

The Antiquary is another of those famous old blended Scotch brands that had somewhat fallen by the wayside whilst the malt mania of the 90s and 00s took hold. Happily, this whisky brand has been revived after the parent company J.W. Hardie was purchased by Tomatin in 1997. All the constituent whiskies in this bottling were aged for a minimum of 12 years. This blend supposedly contains a higher than average malt content, demonstrated by its excellent rich flavours. The whisky has a wonderful Cognac-like character, with delicious spice and fruit flavours, and a gentle, grainy honey note.
