This wine is crafted from I.G.T grapes grown in the Basilicata region, harvested during the first ten days of October. Vinification involves a 5 to 6-day maceration and fermentation in stainless steel containers, followed by maturation in third-passage French oak barrels, stored in volcanic tuff caves. It presents an intense ruby red colour, with a bouquet rich in fresh red fruits such as black cherry, plum, blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry, complemented by violet, carob, and vanilla notes. On the palate, it is fresh and well-balanced, featuring black cherry, plum, and blueberry flavours, soft tannins, and a persistent finish. Ideal pairings include soups with boiled meats, pasta dishes with meat-based sauces, and medium-aged cheeses. Best served at 16–18°C.
