The 2017 vintage of Château Balestard la Tonnelle is made from a blend of 70% Merlot, completed with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon (25% and 5%) before being aged in 50% new barrels and 50% 18 months old. In the glass, it shows a beautiful deep purple color with reflections pulling on the garnet. On the nose, Château Balestard la Tonnelle reveals an ample and elegant bouquet, full of small black and red fruits (cherries, blueberries) and floral notes of violets. After some agitations of subtle aniseed touches seem to escape from the glass in turn.
