Colour is Ruby red tending to garnet as it ages. The flavour immediately vinous with pleasant notes of ripe fruit such as currant, black cherry, strawberry, as well as light hints of spices and cocoa. The taste is elegant, harmonious and soft on palate, it is lingering and, though a bit harsh, characterized by sweet, fruity notes. It pairs well with Piedmont traditional dishes like stuffed pasta, ravioli, boiled and roasted meat. It is ideal for aperitif, too, as it pairs well with cold cuts and local cheeses. Store the bottle horizontally in a cool place away from lights and vibrations.
