This wine is typical Sangiovese, which however undergoes a lengthy ageing in french oak casks (Allier and Vosges) in line with the tradition of the great noble Tuscan wines. Notes of small red fruits (blueberries, blackberries), with spicy notes due to the wood. It is the ideal companion to any kind of roast meat, game and seasoned cheeses. It is best served at 18°- 20° C. Best served with roast meat, game and seasoned cheeses. For best result open bottle one hour before drinking.
Soil: calcareous and poor, mainly limy, marly and rather permeable.
Ageing: 4 months in stainless vats; 12 months in oak barriques of Slavonic origin, 4 months in cement vats, ageing in bottle before selling.
