Shloss Gobelsburg Zweigelt

Over the last several decades, the Zweigelt grape has developed a strong identity in Austria and especially in the Danube region where the hometown (Langenlois) of its creator Dr. Zweigelt is. The Zweigelt vineyards in Gobelsburg are found on banks of crushed gravelly stones that were formed during the last Ice Age. This wine exudes a shiny ruby-red color with a light violet tone. On the nose is fruitiness with hints of cherries along with spicy nuances. The full body with delicate notes make this wine an all-around food companion.
